The first diamond mining contract was obtained in 1996 in Mont-Wright for ArcelorMittal. The main objective of the mandate is to carry out exploratory drilling, either to extract rock cores in order to study its contents. CCL is also responsible for carrying out drainage holes on the mine walls, definition drilling as well as geotechnical drilling.
